Accra, February 17th, 2017
As part of the official visit of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the Republic of Ghana, the Moroccan Capital Market Authority and the Ghana Securities and Exchange Commission signed on Friday, February 17, 2017 in Accra, a Memorandum of Understanding laying out the terms of bilateral cooperation between the two institutions.
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of the two Heads of State, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Excellency the President of Ghana Nana Akufo Addo at the Flagstaff House in Accra.
The MoU signed by Ms. Nezha Hayat, Chairperson of the AMMC and Mr. Alexander Williams, Acting Director General of SEC Ghana, aims to bring the two countries' capital markets closer together, particularly in terms of SME financing through capital market, market professionals licensing, financial education, encouragement of cross-border investment and promotion of the development of sustainable finance.
